Ambius' second top award in less than a month
12/06/2008
Following on from its success at the Chelsea Flower Show at the end of May, Ambius has been awarded a Gold Medal at the 2008 BBC Gardeners' World Live event, taking place from 11-15 June at the NEC in Birmingham.
The Ambius exhibit is a dazzling display of tropical flora and foliage and the stunning display incorporates eye-catching Bromeliads, Codiaeum variegatum (Mrs Icetone variety) and Orchids in dramatic colours more associated with tropical climes. The stunning shades are enhanced and contrasted with the gentle hues of silver-grey and green foliage, including the rare Australian Grass Tree.
The award winning exhibit, which will be on display at stand FM89 until 15 June, will act as the company’s shop window with all species on display and available for hire by the company’s customers.

The exhibit was designed, built and displayed by Ambius UK Projects Manager, Paul Sturgess - more commonly known as the company’s ‘Plant Doctor’, because of his unrivalled knowledge of plants, their pests and diseases.
Paul Sturgess comments: “Of course we’re delighted with the Gold medal, but more importantly visitors to the stand have told us how much they love the plants and are interested in finding out their origins. People have been surprised to discover that everything on the stand is among the great variety of species and containers that are available in the UK from Ambius.”
Paul Cochrane, UK managing director, Ambius, added: “Following on so quickly from our win at Chelsea, it really cements our position as the market leader in enhancing indoor environments. This accolade is testament to the hard work of all our employees but particularly Paul and the team in our Bath nursery, the nerve centre of our horticultural excellence.”
The Ambius service portfolio which builds on the company’s 21 years’ experience of designing, installing and servicing interior plants.
The expanded product portfolio, to become available in all markets, will include the provision of Christmas trees and decorations, ambient scenting, corporate artwork and other products that improve workplace environments and employee well being. For instance, in the UK, the brand recently launched Premium Scenting, an ambient scenting product that customers are using for scent marketing and brand scenting.
Ambius will also be exhibiting at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show (8-13 July) hoping for its third medal this season.
